A generous companion of the Heart, a powerful guide in grief rituals, Hawthorn is a magical tree, know as  the gateway to the Fairy realms, which is felt in the delicate vibrancy of its blossoms.
Being part of the rose family, its essence strengthens the heart on a physical, emotional & spiritual level, especially at times of sorrow.
Grieving requires to feel how much love we hold : attending to the depths of our grief allows to dive into the depths of our heart, where we are met by grace. Guiding through the subtleties as grief contains many emotions.
 
Its Corsican name, Lazzarolu, holds reminiscence of the myth of resurrection : hinting at its ability to hold us, help us shift these emotions and transform as we walk through the threshold of grief. Albaspina,  its other corsican name (depending on its position on the land) refers to dawn and to its thorns : the medicine that comes from walking through pain, followed by resurection.
