Violet is a secretive flower, the receptacle of the silent whispers of the forest at the end of winter, one of the first blossoms that announces early spring, so humble and unnoticeable to the untrained eye amongst a carpet of mossy greens.
This is one favourite flower of childhood with its captivating sweet scent as it is seem to recall ancient mysteries, holding the treasured memory of the old ways.
Tiny, unassuming violets are great companions to the solitary souls, soothing the mind of those who have been belittled, while being great teachers of humility, showing us our strength by honouring our depths, guiding us into wiser truths with deep listening.
Violets  were traditionally used to honour the dead to decorate their graves, purple being the symbolic colour of mourning, the illuminated eye of inttuition and spirit.
